Col. 2:11 tPt

“Through our union with Him we have experienced circumcision of heart. All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us.”

#1 – Through our union with Him we have experienced a circumcision of the heart. All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away, and is now extinct because of what Christ has done. According to Romans 6, Jesus didn’t just pull us out of sin… He pulled sin out of us. Our sin nature has been dealt with, and for the new creation, according to scripture, our sin nature no longer exists. All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut from our hearts!

Sin no longer has power, guilt, or shame in our lives because of what Christ has done! There is no more sin, guilt, or shame that is holding you back from being acceptable in the presence of Jesus! This has to become a foundation for us to enter into Christ’s fullness! There is nothing that you should be ashamed of, nothing that should cause you to walk in with your head down as if you are a mistake or failure in the eyes of God. This is the Gospel, friend! All of the guilt and shame you’ve walked in for years is eliminated in the Gospel. All of the power, and even the propensity to sin, has been cut away. That is now the foundation on which we can boldly approach His throne of grace!
