Col. 2:20 tPt

“For you were included in the death of Christ and have died with Him to the religious system and powers of this world. Don’t retreat back to being bullied by the standards and opinions of religion…”

In this verse, Paul connects the religious system with the powers of this world. Through the death of Christ, we are dead to both. Isn’t it interesting that when the religious system died to those in new creation status, so did the powers of this world?

It is not enough to acknowledge the victory of Christ over the realm of darkness, while you maintain a loyalty to a system that keeps the realm of darkness enthroned.

You must also acknowledge the victory of Christ over the realm of darkness and exit the system that keeps them enthroned! Religion wants to keep in power those things that Christ has disarmed, because that is what keeps religion in a seat of authority, and you codependent upon it for survival.

  • Anyone who still makes the devil and his powers relevant to new creation believers has rejected the fullness of the Gospel, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and is maintaining a religious system that Christ eliminated from the new creation.

  • If we are to be obedient to apostolic teaching, then according to Colossians 2:8 and 2:20, we must be aware of any teacher or religious system teaching this hybrid understanding of the Gospel.

We must disconnect from these pretenders, we must exit this system of religion, and we must go deeper into the fullness of Christ! I don’t want you to know demonology when you can’t exhaust the riches of Christ! I’m calling you to a superior fascination!

How far do we want to go into the fullness of Christ?
